IR3570 increase outgoing fax timeout (number of rings)

Does anyone know which settings control the length to time and/or number of rings. There is one number that the machine regularly dials which has a huge variability in the number of rings it takes to answer. Sometimes it answers in five rights other times it can take as many as 30 rings. Rather than hanging up and redialing, I would like the machine to keep trying for a longer period of time.
    Thanks for any help.

If the imageRUNNER has a FAX based Service Mode: Enter Service mode>Special>Special SW><SW27 bit 7 to 1>

On Standard imageRUNNER Service modes: Enter Service mode>FAX>NCU>SpecialB><SW27 bit 7 to 1>

Once SW 27 bit 7 is set to 1, power cycle the imageRUNNER, select ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS>COMMUNICATIONS SETTINGS><under FAX SETTINGS><select RX SETTINGS>All expanded RX functions will now be displayed.

By default, these expanded RX functions are not enabled. These functions are not high priority items, but are useful in certain environments. The most familiar or most used item would be the Incoming Ring function. Here, you can control the number of rings it takes before the fax will answer. The other items such as RX Mode, Remote RX & Manual / Auto Switch are mainly used in an enviroment in which the phone line is shared.
