Continuing to get error code "E000732-0001". Can someone brighter than me point me in the right direction? Thanks.

Check the interface cable from Reader Controller.
what were u working on before code ??

If the Reader is disconnected from the Printer a E732 code will result. Once the Reader is disconnected the logic on the MAIN-Controller is changed to a "0". The copier is now set up to be a Printer only, and will not recognize the Reader.
To correct this, you must enter service mode, COPIER>OPTION>BODY>W/SCNR and set that to "1". Then you must turn the copier off, then on.

To add to Teckat's answer, the power cord for the reader is also a source of this code. If the rear cover has been removed to service the copier, some people, (read ME ;-) ), remove the cable to get it out of the way. I have forgotten to get this cable properly seated and generated the error code.

Was having this problem today and found it was the reader cable (Cable, DDI-S Serial) try a different cable from another machine and replace if req. This was on an iR3180Ci but the error code is the same.

Whatever happend to the days of having just one cable?!?

Ive seen the little metal hooks that hold the SCSI connector secure get bent...just straighten them out with needle nose pliers
