Well updated the firmware to v8.01 and it did not help. Will try the sensor bracket and pressure adjustments next.

*****do a jog adjustment first/ then do the bracket

bracket adjustment works about 90/95% of the time / i use the pitch method/ with a little paper behind plate to change the angle / believe it or not it's all about the time it takes flag to pass sensor and coordinate with jog action. i find it takes a little trial & error the first time u do this/ best way is to remove the top cover>front cover> cheat the switches / adjust plate> run 20 page staple test blank job 40 sets to tray / first time i did this, used two reams of paper to get it right.

PS> make sure finisher is on those guide plates for wheels/ and level out all wheels to install instructions

At first Canon issued new static eliminators....we tried them on 4 machines...no change. By lowering the sensor bracket 2mm the swing guides' home position is set lower. The machine then drives the swing guide down the same amount of travel...we have done software, etc. and the only thing that worked 100 percent of the time is lowering the bracket. Never clean the pullback rolls...it will cause problems....good luck...try the 2mm fix

As i said before, you have to find the right amount of pressure.
I had three finishers doing this same skewing issue and the adjustsment worked.
    I haven't went back again.

The beasty I had to perform this on took me a few visits to "fine tune" it... It has behaved ever since as well..
