Canon Color IRC3220 Copier - Messed up power cable

    Hello,

I was moving my copier, and when we picked it up...the bottom section fell away from the main section.

One of the power cables become damaged.

I need to know which of the 4 holes does the yellow cable go in.

Would it be top left, top right, bottom left, or bottom right from this photo?

It's the plug that goes in this bottom slot.

This is what it looked like before I connected the 2 parts I could figure out.

Thanks to anyone that can help me!

    Jim

Not being a smart ass here, but did you think to remove mating connector to ascertain which port the single wire plug needed to go into?

LOL. Not a smart ass response at all. Any advice and help is greatly appreciated.

When you say the "mating connector" are you referring to the part on the machine that the cable connects too?

I ask this because the other end of this cable isn't the same.

Thanks! Any idea where I can buy this part? I tried googling it, and didn't have much luck sifting through the responses.

Thanks so much for you guy's help! I simply didn't think to do something like this. I will give this a try tomorrow. If this doesn't work, then I will get on the phone with Canon and order the part that you so provided me with the info on. Again, I would have NEVER been able to even figure out what the name of the part was or what it did to even start ordering it.

What an awesome resource this site is, and it's because people like you guys take the time to help out someone in need like myself.

U should have no problem ordering it/ if u do, call an Authorized Canon Dealer in your area to order , it may be faster.

I once had a truck driver cut that cable in half, when he was putting the machine on the cassette feed unit.
