IRC 4580 and IRC 5180 Jams at Fuser

Customer is sending very heavy preprinted paper through the machines and they start jamming after about 250 copies. The copies are duplexed for a number of copies on plain paper and then the cover is preprinted on one side. So about 8 copies, then 1 copy on heavy paper. The corners are bent on the covers near the end of a large job and eventually jams miserably in the fuser. Sending the paper through the bypass doesn't help any and it's always after 250-300 copies that it starts doing this jamming. Any thoughts?

    Thanks.

Those machines are positioned for users who primarily output color documents that can be classified as business color usage (also called office color or presentation color).
This series output expectations should not be compared to that of high end graphics devices.

Remember u can't perform miracles on this printer/ even though sales will say so !!!!!!!!!!

    Thanks for the replies.

The error code 0108 occurs the most, about 75% of the errors listed were 0108. 10% of the errors listed were 020e. All others were 1-offs.

The customer did not have the exact weight of the paper but it is at least 120.

paper weight max for deck & cassettes is / 110lb index=209g/m

paper max is 140lb index = 253g/m for bypass tray

SO that means/ Finisher can accept up to the 253g/m weight
