    Finally got the new corona unit today and the machine is running well. Tanks Guys. I like to know after how many number of copies i have to restring the corona? what is the defference between black color and gold color wires? which color wire i need to use?

    I believe its 500k
    And you should be using tungsten wire. That's the bronze colored wire. The copper one which you refer to being gold is more for color copiers like, CLC's
    Difference is diameter.

    Glad you have resolved your problem, restring around 500k as Screwtape said, or sooner if copy quality problems arise. Check the Counters tab in service mode to keep track of them, be sure to zero out the count on the wires when you restring, and the wires plus the corona assembly when replacing them. The counters are normally your guide. Replace at 1 million to eliminate strange copy quality problems.

    Guys again same problem, The unit have made more than 1,00,000 copies. i rewire the string but the problem does not eleminate. One of my friend suggest me to change the Block(Not Done Yet). Now what should i do if the problem doesnot solve after rewiring of string. Pls note the paper scroll is happen in A4 not in A4R.

    Paper is probably arching over Sep guide / could be a voltage issue on end block
    Check connectors on HVT-AC PCB
    DID U REPLACE THE PLASTIC GUT WIRE THAT SITS OVER SEP GUIDE ?
    FA5-1876-000/WIRE, 0.148MM (50M)


    make sure your tray settings are for plain paper

    are FEEDER ASSEMBLY belts turning ok

    "1,00,000" I am confused by the number,, did you miss a 0 for 1 million, or is there an extra comma, and you have 100 thousand?

    When in doubt, try a NEW corona assembly...
