    Canon S750 inkjet printer

Yeah, yeah, I know. It's my personal printer, and I would tell anybody else that it's not worth the labor cost.

It stops mid-print, and blinks out a diagnostic sequence. (7) yellow flashes, (1) green flash, pause, then the same sequence again. If I power Off the paper will feed out and the rest of the print job will clear the queue.

It's not a real high tech piece of equipment. There are a limited number of possibilities:
    print head home position,
    ink level detection,
    ink nozzle cleaning detection,
    paper feed.

I'm not getting any useful information off the print monitor. It just says that the printer is not communicating and to press RESUME (which doesn't help). Nor does restarting the print job.

Does anybody know what the diagnostic blinkage means? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

The model # isn't quite right, but Canon is really consistent about their codes, so I suspect that this is a jewel.

I have to grant kudos to this "trigger". Again and again new idiots misread his posts, and he must repeatedly point out that their trying to fix a user code not a service code, or vice versa. I'll try not to be one of these idiots.

For those that didn't look at the link, the (7) amber, (1) green, pause, means that the printhead is over temperature and requires replacement. I've got $40 worth of ink sitting here, so I guess I'll try to track down a printhead. Thanks Princess. =^..^=

    Troubleshooting Error Indications
    1) Error indication when an error recoverable by the user occurs,
    the
indicator lights green, then blinks orange repeatedly.

Check the number of orange blinks and proceed to correct the error.

    2) Error indication when an error not resolvable by the user occurs
The indicator toggles between orange and green repeatedly.
Check the number of toggled blinks and proceed to correct the error.

    Error
    Indicator Display Status>
Blinks orange =The number of blinks differs depending on the error.
Green/orange =The indicator blinks differently according to error.
    (Toggle blinking)

    User-Recoverable Errors-
    Orange =7 Blinks
    check that error status codes=

    1402 Cartridge error
1403 (a) The print head temperature (output of the
1405 diode sensor in the head) is close to the threshold
1485 (b) Print head internal EEPROM checksum error.
    <Suspect Part>Print head.

    *****7 toggle blinks between Orange/Green

Waste Ink absorbers have reached 100% capacity.

    Unresolvable Errors by the User-
    7 toggle blinks =Orange / Green= Waste-ink full
The waste-ink absorber has reached 100% capacity.

Trigger addresses this exact bit of confusion. The Waste Ink Code is G-O-G-O-G-O-G-O-G-O-G-O-G-O-GGGGG. The cartridge overtemperature condition is O-O-O-O-O-O-O-G-pause. I have the latter error condition which is the operator code.

Thanks for the links to the manuals. =^..^=

It looks as though the difficulty here will be locating an affordable printhead (QY6-0041-010). Of hundreds of google links one sold for $90, the other $75. All others list out of stock or not available. That's too much for the POS printer. I may attempt the cleaning method identified in the post before I walk it to the trash can, though there is no real quality issue. Thanks for the comments. =^..^=

    teckat,
You're stuck on the wrong error code. I can repeat myself again if you didn't understand. The cartridge overtemperature condition is O-O-O-O-O-O-O-G-pause. This is the error code I'm observing. I could change the feed tire, too, but that's not the problem. How about if we just try to fix the error conditions that are observed and not just make some up? Again, thanks for your help. =^..^=

What do u mean about a feed tire/ who is making something up ??/

First= You need to address your attitude
    /

Second =I provided u with the manual

Third=I KNOW IT IS A OVER TEMP CODE, I had this piece of junk before.

The information posted was just a reference point for others to look at.
