Guys, don't limit youselves to possible causes alone, free youselves to explore the impossibles as well. So far it seems you choose not to like suspecting anything from the scanner system, why? Don't ignore anything please, solve this by elimination.
    Regards!

I suggest you re-read his posts,,,

"I put a piece of blank paper on the 105's glass and copied it, getting the streaks across the top of the page, I also printed from the PC to the 105 getting the same result."

Try swapping the entire blade unit, so you get the LED string as well as a different blade holder so you can rule that out. Make sure the mylar that rides on the drum as D_L_P mentioned is clean. I know how frustrating this is...
I can also as the last poster stated,, free my mind from the plausible explanations and go with my imagination, and suggest that he replace the rear cover of the copier as something to eliminate from all the possible subjects.

I can't believe a tech would replace all those items and leave with the copies looking like that. Even if it isn't coronas/drum blade/developer, I find it hard to believe changing all those units didn't have an impact on the streaks. I'd think it would have gotten lighter/darker or moved a little. Anyway, that covers about everything. Assuming "dead" unit means developer unit, about the only thing left I can think of is drum ground issue or developer bias. Might be time to swap HV unit.

Pull out the AP assembly and check the drum shaft for rust. There are 2 spring loaded brass/copper(?) tabs on the back of the drum, make sure those are clean and use a dab of conductive grease on them. Check the contacts on the rear frame where those drum ground tabs ride. If this has several million copies on it you may need to replace item #9 (FB4-1575-000).105ground..jpg
Clean and inspect the developer bias tab. On the front of the developer unit is an adjusting plate, that can be set too far forward and touch or arc to the frame near the potential control.

i have read the posts , poster did not mention he/she has posted a direct image from PC/
[QUOTE] I also printed from the PC to the 105
did poster mean he print out the scanned white piece of paper from his scanner attached to PC.

[QUOTE] I scanned the paper on a scanner attached to my computer, that added the border.
[QUOTE] I then scanned the paper the 105 output with a scanner attached to my PC, which created a white border around the scan

i don't want to see blank paper posted / i want to see copies or prints with pictures or text posted

first [QUOTE] There's a picture of what it does.
    105error...jpg
second [QUOTE] Here's a new picture showing feed direction.
    ir105 pic3...jpg
Both images are exactly the same/ if they were printed or from a copy/ how it that possible from a blade issue

i want to see five more prints or copies/ where is this poster/
if this is one pic posted twice / it's a waste of our time

Wow this thread is dragging on...if you have it on print also...not scanned in prints...then forget about the optics. As stated check that the curtain on the primary rail is not builtup with toner and dragging on drum. Also like previously stated make sure all the pre-expossure LEDS are coming on....looks like a segment is not. Reseat the connector for the pre-exposure assembly...on both sides of the intermediate connector. The wires also break very easy or get pinched by the processing unit when not routed properly. Try this...unplug pre-exposure assembly and see if it makes a difference. It should be dark across the copy with it unplugged

your are right , similar / but if u look close, u can see those three black dots & and a small mark to the right of middle dot on both pics line up/ these white sheets of paper had to be scanned on same copy glass or on the scanner connected to PC

poster has not responded on my suggestion to post text docs/ or printed images/
