    IR5000i Print Image Centering

    Might anyone happen to know how the print image for an IR5000i can be shifted a bit to the right. I am noticing that the prints sent from MSWord are a bit too close to the left corner of the paper.

    Printed on an IR3300i to ensure that it was not a corrupt file(s) but appears to be that the print image being sent from the computer word processing software is being moved about 1/4" to the left.

    Might this be a service mode adjustment that's required for printing?

    Thank you for your help.

    There is a way to adjust the layout just for print jobs.
    Additional Functions-> Printer Settings-> Settings.
    I'm sorry I can't remember the exact path, but look for layout or X/Y adjustment.

    When printing from Microsoft Word, the driver features do not work properly
    Whenever you print from Microsoft Word, always disable the collate check box.
    + make sure that Background Printing is disabled. Click the Options... button and make sure the Background Printing check box is disabled.

    Output errors occur when printing a document in Microsoft Word created and printed on another printer. You can experience font issues, crowding, or format (lines of text appear on the wrong pages) issues. This happens when you create and save a document with another printer's configuration. Whether it is the default printer or one of your choosing, the printer's configuration, i.e. image-able area, gets saved along with the document. If you then try to print this to a Canon printer you can get output issues.

    An alternate to printing the file is to 'print to file'. This creates a file on your PC that has the selected printer's settings attributed to it.

    Thanks Guys. Was apparently able to correct using the "long edge" vs. the "short edge" selection.
