    Canon IR3100cn scan help!

    I am trying to setup scanning functions on an IR3100cn. . . .

    I have installed canons scangear toolbox on the pc but thats it. . . I cannot find software for scanning. .

    I can select the scanner in the scangear tool box but not actualy scan anything.

    I go to the copier and press online on the scan part of the copier and it says 'waiting'.

    Is there an application needed I can get somewhere?

    The operating system I am using is windows 7. .

      Did you set up the scan gear tool with the IP address.

      Is the machine set up for network printing.

          Scangear is just the driver and utility to setup the scanner, you need a program to scan into.
          Google paperport or ecopy desktop free download.

              You can also use microsoft word ,Adobe acrobat.. (Not adobe reader!).
              Or try DLP's suggestions.
