IRC3220 Load Toner Catridge / Drum Unit problem

    Hi friends,

I'm facing a problem where my IRC3220 shows the indicator to load the toner catridges when in fact all of them have been loaded in already. Tried swapping to new cartridges but the error is still there. anyone encountered this error before and have a fix for this?

On another machine, I'm facing the same as well but this time its for the drum units. Anyone can help advise on this as well?

    I would greatly appreciate it
    Cheers

You can have a bad fuse PCB.

Are you a tech or user?

Thx screwtape, i'll relay your suggestion to them

Btw, are the 2 mentioned problems with catridge and drum unit related to the fuse pcb?

There are more reasons why the message add toner can happen though.
There can also be a defective DC Controller and Toner Concentration PCB.

    Second,

The message add toner can be caused by a lack of 24 volts at the DC Power Supply.

The drum issue can be caused by the same Pcb's or by the drum units them selves.

    Good luck.

Just to add on to other responses

Check those DC PCB FUSES LISTED BELOW

How to troubleshoot the DC-fuse PCB or a missing voltage in the machine.

To check the fuse use frame ground for your volt meter negative lead and measure both sides of the fuse for exact voltage shown

When an over current or a short to ground occurs in the machine such as a motor binding or a wire shorted to the frame of the machine, a fuse on the DC-fuse PCB should open to prevent damage to the machine. The DC-fuse PCB is located in the rear lower left of the machine mounted on the DC-power supply.

The fuse, voltage, connectors, and the destination of the voltage is listed below.
