    imageRUNNER 3045/3035/3030/3025 = Late 2006/2007

    The imageRUNNER 3045 (Segment 4), imageRUNNER 3035 (Segment 3)
and the imageRUNNER 3030/3025 (Segment 2) are Black & White devices
with print speeds of up to 45 ppm (pages-per-minute), 35 ppm, 30 ppm, and
25 ppm respectively featuring the MEAP (Multifunctional Embedded
Application Platform) enabled imageRUNNER controller with advanced
    capabilities

Certain optional software features are pre-installed on all new units, and in
order to activate the software programs, the feature must be licensed through
the LMS server. This replaces the need for additional hardware or dongles to
activate new software. Refer to the LMS section herein for further details.
The imageRUNNER 3045/3035/3030/3025 devices offer a DADF (Standard
with imageRUNNER 3045/3035, Optional on the imageRUNNER 3030/3025)
with a 50-sheet paper capacity and a dual 550-sheet front loading paper
cassettes that can accommodate paper sizes up to 11" x 17" and 17 lb. - 20 lb.
Bond in weights. These devices can perform auto duplexing with paper
weights ranging from 13 lb. - 32 lb. Bond. Users can also add a cassette
feeding unit that provides two more 550-sheet cassettes and a 2,700-sheet
paper deck for increased paper capacity of up to 4,950 sheets for
    uninterrupted productivity.

There are differences between the xx30 Series and the xx70 Series:
    Differences in System Software
    Differences with System Configuration
    Differences of the Print/Transmission Options
There are now three (3) types of Boot ROMs available for the xx30 Series*:
     C = Copy only
     P = UFR II
H = UFR II and PCL
*There are no N type Boot ROMs with this series!
    Differences with the Operational Panel
    Differences in User Mode
Changes in the Hard Drive (HDD) and SDRAM
    Paper Pickup/Feeding System
Functional Differences in the Power Supply
    Control Panel Unit
Changes in the Electrical Parts Layout
    Some Part Differences

    imageRUNNER 3225/ 3230/ 3235/ 3235i/ 3245/ 3245i = y2008
These copiers are based on the same platform as the imageRUNNER 4570 & 3045 series.

Just want to say thanks for this info now i know i have 2 Copy only, 2 UFR II and PCL, and 1 UFR II IR4570 machine, (which means i can only have 3 printers )
i would like to ask about the scanner, i have one machine (the one with P Boot ROM) has also a fax and a universal send kit. It can Scan to SMB right? I try to scan but a message always appear (see image).By the way, Delayed Sent is not set. Also I can't access the web interface, though there is a reply on the ip address when i ping it.

    That's a mystery
Web Access Software kit needs to be installed.
Press the [--->] right arrow button on the copier's display screen until you see [Web Access]

    Memory Sending
    :

All of the originals to be sent are first scanned into memory, then sent. This means that you do not need to stay near the machine once the originals have been scanned. The memory can hold a total of approximately 8000 pages of sent and received documents.

    Direct Sending:

The machine sends each page of the document to the destination as it is scanned, without storing the document in memory. Use 'Direct Sending' when the memory is full, and you still need to send a document.

With 'Direct Sending', you can send a document of 2 or more pages only when using the feeder. You can only send 1 page at a time when you place your original on the platen glass.

You can specify only 1 destination at a time for 'Direct Sending'. 'Memory Sending' is automatically set when multiple destinations are specified.

'Memory Sending' is automatically set when using 'Delayed Send'.

To enable or disable 'Direct Sending' mode for a fax job on most fax capable imageRUNNER models:

    1. On the Send tab, specify the fax destination.
    2. Press the [Send Settings] button in the lower right hand corner of the Send tab.
    3. Press the [Direct] button to set or cancel 'Direct Sending' mode. If [Direct] is not selected, then 'Memory Sending' mode is used.
    4. Select any other desired options and hit [Done].
    5. Press the [Start] key to send the fax.
