Canon IR4570 Sharescan Essentials / scan to e-mail Netowrk folder alternatives

We are debating the installation of Sharescan or another MEAP enabled software technology to run on the Canon IR227/3570/4570 series machines. What would the community suggest in terms of simplicity? both from an installation standpoint and an end-user point of view?

Also, does anyone have the technical documentation available to them with the steps to install ecopy Sharescan onto the machine?

This machine is discontinue. You can probably still get these options however.

If scanning to email or file folder, I would highly recommend, Universal Send Kit-B1 for your needs.

    Here is the item code.

    Universal Send Kit-B1 --9594A002AA

Call a Canon authorized dealer near you.

There definitely out there in Chicago.

Been there for training a while back.

    Good luck.

Agreed. In terms of simplicity the Send Kit is your best bet over SSOP Ecopy.

Ok, I think that would be the way to go as well, can the B-1's typically be found on the used market?
I was also curious what models directly replaced the 2270/3570/4570 ? were there any models in between these and the new Advance Models?

    Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding,

Right once more, it is licensed through Canon's LMS system. I checked eBay and found none. There are many Canon dealers in the Chicago area, you might find one sitting on an unsold kit.

Is the Multi-PDL Kit E1 also required if it had a Fiery previously? One of my IT guys is trying this for a old customer and I haven't done one on this machine for a while.

If it had a fiery previously then that's how they use to print.
The answer would be, yes it would need a printer kit in order to print or unless you still have the fiery.

There both different and the two don't work together.
You would either need one or the other if you want too print.

    imageRUNNER 2270/2870/3570/4570= y2004

    imageRUNNER 2230/2830/3530/4530 =y2005

There are differences between the xx30 Series and the xx70 Series:
    Differences in System Software
    Differences with System Configuration
    Differences of the Print/Transmission Options
There are now three (3) types of Boot ROMs available for the xx30 Series*:
     C = Copy only
     P = UFR II
H = UFR II and PCL
*There are no N type Boot ROMs with this series!
    Differences with the Operational Panel
    Differences in User Mode
Changes in the Hard Drive (HDD) and SDRAM
    Paper Pickup/Feeding System
Functional Differences in the Power Supply
    Control Panel Unit
Changes in the Electrical Parts Layout
    Some Part Differences

    imageRUNNER 3225/ 3230/ 3235/ 3235i/ 3245/ 3245i = y2008
These copiers are based on the same platform as the imageRUNNER 4570 & 3045 series.
