    It happens.

There's a lot of reasons why certain media don't work. Pigments, long grain, short grain. You name it.

I've seen top qaulity paper curl up.

The front to rear wave is caused by the fixing drive gears not meshing properly when the guide is closed...as stated the hinge plate gets bent....there is a modified upper duplexing guide available...if customer closes door with delivery guide open hinge plate gets bent. You can oil the orange roller bushings till the cows come and it wont fix it.....Canon issued a bulletin about this in August 2009...you will see 01-07 jams logged also....try what i suggested in my earlier post...you will be suprised how much it reduces curl. This info came from Canon tech support...no bulletin issued. If i told my customers that they had to run heavier paper all the time to minimize this they would get rid of the copier....just an excuse
