Check if the Drum/ITB Drive Motor M2is working.
also Check the Main Power Supply and the two DC Converter PCB's for failure.

Check if drum home position sensor (PS65) is mounted correctly / red arrow below/ double click on pic

****Countermeasure to Prevent Color Displacement or E012-0001 Error Code

    SUBJECT:
Countermeasure to Prevent Color Displacement or E012-0001 Error Code
PRODUCTS AFFECTED / SERIAL NUMBERS AFFECTED:
    Products Affected: Serial Numbers Affected:

    GENERAL:
This Technical Publication is to inform the field about a countermeasure to prevent possible color
displacement (mis-registration) or E012-0001 Error Codes.
    DETAILS:
On occasion, either color displacement (mis-registration) or E012-0001 may occur due to the following
    reasons:
    • When inserting the Bearing into the gear, the Bearing may become deformed due to the narrow inner
diameter of the [B]36T Gear [A] and 18T/54T Gear [C].
    • A Screw inside the DC Motor Assembly [D] may become loosened causing a gap. This gap may
cause an excess load on the windings possible leading to a cut wire.
To limit the occurrence of the aforementioned symptoms, the following changes have been made:
    • The inner diameter of the [B]36T Gear [A] and 18T/54T Gear [C] have been widened to prevent the
    Bearing from becoming deformed.
    • LoctiteŽ has been applied to the Screw inside the DC Motor Assembly [D] to eliminate any gaps.

If any of the aforementioned symptoms occur, [B]replace the 36T Gear [A] , 18T/54T Gear [C] and DC
Motor Assembly [D] with the new type.

Although the DC motor assembly has LoctiteŽ applied to a screw, the part number
has not changed. The current parts in stock have this current addition. However,
if the aforementioned symptoms occur, be sure to replace all previously
mentioned parts at the same time.

Check the silver tension roller....they rust out on the ends where they go into the bearing...bearing gets destroyed, changed many of them. I think they call it auxillary roller in manual. Change the two silver rollers and the arms....fc5-1666,fc5-1760,fl2-0406,fl2-0407
