E004-0401 can be displayed when a 13V trouble error occurs.

Note: Unlike the other E004 series codes, this code is not be cleared until the error clear is performed in the following mode: [Service mode > COPIER > Function > CLEAR > ERR].




E004-0401

- E004-0401 can be displayed when a 13V trouble error occurs.

Note: Unlike the other E004 series codes, this code is not be cleared until the error clear is performed in the following mode: [Service mode > COPIER > Function > CLEAR > ERR].


1. Make the following selections in sequence to perform the error clear:
[Service mode > COPIER > Function > CLEAR > ERR].
2. Turn the control panel switch OFF > turn the main power switch OFF/ON.
3. If the error code still persists, check to see if the connector [1] of the fixing thermo switch is disconnected or the pin [2] of the receiving side connector is bent. If the connector is disconnected, re-fit it.

4. Check to see if the wire cable [3] of the fixing thermo switch is pinched by the IH heater unit.

Note: When attaching this wire cable, run it through the cable guide to prevent wire-pinching.

5. Re-fit the connector of the Replay PCB.
6. Check to see if FU261 on the Fixing Heater PCB blows; if not, re-fit the connector.
If it blows, replace the PCB by a new one.

E004-0401: J623 connector of Relay PCB has poor contact
13 V trouble error
Since J623 connector (13V/5V for fixing heater power) or the Relay PCB had poor contact, the error code "E004-0401" was displayed.
- E004-0401 can be displayed when 13V trouble error occurs.
Note: This is the only error code that is in-volatile. To clear this code, execute the following service mode: Service Mode > COPIER > Function > CLEAR
> ERR.

1. Re-fit J623 connector of the Relay PCB.
2. Check to see if FU261 on the Fixing Heater PS PCB has blown; if so, replace the PCB with a new one.
3. If the symptom still occurs, check the fixing thermoswitch connectors for poor contact, and read wires for wire-pinching.

E004-0101

E004-0101: Halogen heater is damaged or terminal of heater has poor contact.

Because of damage to the halogen heater (H1) or poor contact of a heater terminal, the error code "E004-0101" was indicated. This error code may be indicated due to a fault in the AC Driver PCB (i.e., triac short), the fixing assembly, and the DC Controller PCB 2 (MAISY). However, before replacing these parts, perform the following procedure.

- E004-0101 can be displayed when there is a short-circuit detection error in the halogen heater (ASIC detection).

Workaround :
1. Detach the terminal on both ends of the halogen heater, and then check to see if the heater has electrical continuity; if there is no electrical continuity, replace the heater with a new one.
2. Check to see if the terminal [A] on both ends of the heater is fixed firmly with a screw. If the screw is loosened, tighten it.



3. If the symptom still occurs, check to see if J114 connector of the AC Driver PCB is disconnected. If disconnected, re-fit it.

Thank you so much for sharing these. It seems the J623 connector is the problem, I'll be replacing the PCB...hope it will work.
