    iR7095 & iR7105

    Dear all fellow technicians,
Just like to find out what is the different between iR7095 & iR7105 beside the speed. Is the constructions the same? What about the Boards, can it be inter changeable? ( meaning the MN cont, DC controller, Power supply and so on). Planning to do this model, any advice is appreciated.

    Thanks

Machines are same, except for Main Controller's
in which they can not be swapped, because>

The Counter Memory, Serial Number and Main
Controller PCBs work as a set and are considered the “Soft Counter Circuit”. The Counter Memory PCB is
electronically stamped with the serial number from the Serial Number PCB. Neither the Counter Memory
PCB nor the Serial Number PCB can be swapped to other equipment.
The Counter Memory PCB keeps track
of the total count, which cannot be erased or changed. The service counters are retained by the Main
    Controller.

    You really can't.

The 7200/8500/105/105+ series is older technology.

Get the 7086, you'll be much happier.

    imageRUNNER 7105/7095/7086 Product Overview
Each model is equipped with Canon's fourth generation imagePlatform (iP) controller architecture, featuring a dual CPU with enhanced functionality and high image quality with true 1200 x 1200 printing dpi support (UFR II and PS) and 2400 x 600 dpi support for PCL printing.

    Mailbox Functions
1GB RAM and 40GB Hard Disk Drive (Standard)
The imageRUNNER 7105/7095/7095 Printer/7086 devices ship standard with 1GB RAM and a 40GB Hard Disk Drive. This vast memory capacity provides the virtual space to accept jobs sent to the device from multiple users simultaneously, and gives rise to a number of digitally enabled copy functions.
The 40 GB HDD is used to store up to 20,000 pages or up to 2,000 documents in memory for short- or long-term storage in 100 User Mail Boxes. Settings can be adjusted to hold scanned data and forms allowing the imageRUNNER 7105/7095/7095 Printer/7086 devices to serve as on-site document archival solutions.
The imageRUNNER 7105/7095/7095 Printer/7086 models have an increased mailbox capacity over the imageRUNNER predecessors. Please see the chart below for a detailed comparison.
    Cascade and Remote Copying
This productivity-enhancing feature allows the user to leverage the power of other imageRUNNER 7105/7095/7086 devices connected to their network by splitting or sending the output to another device. The user can double their productivity and direct their output to a point of need. A remote imageRUNNER device can print an original scanned document from the users machine independently (remote copying) or simultaneously (cascade copying).
Note: Remote and Cascade Copying is standard and does NOT require the Multi-PDL Printer Kit or Universal Send. The only requirement is for the devices to be connected on the same network and each has a registered IP address. Cascade and Remote Copying can only be done between devices in the same family, and can be done with devices with different printing speeds within the same family. Remote and Cascade Copying is NOT possible between the iR105+/9070/8070 series and the iR7105/7095/7086 series.

the 7085/95 and 7105 is nearly undestroyable
We have several of these Boxes at municipality printerys, running approx 250k per month. No Problem at all, the only thing you should have your eye on is, that you should do the maintainance every 500k.
