Hi All, might be worth checking air and ozone filters, this is something most techs forget and causes a build up of ozone and heat in machine which will cause adverse copy quality

I'm sorry livancicm, but I didn't understand what you were trying to say. How do you mean that I check the toner? Thanks.

Thanks for PDF. I did everything what it said to do exept replacing the developing unit, because I don't have one.
    1. I have eliminated humidity as a source of problem by turning the enviroment switch on.

    2. Returned all of the following to the default settings indicated on the service label in service mode
COPIER>ADJUST>V-CONT>EPOTOFST/VL-OFST/VD-OFST/DE-OFS-P/VD-OFS-P/DE-OFST/VLOFS-P. Set"1"to the following in service mode: COPIER>FUNCTION>DPC>DPC (to force execution of
potential control). After that LPOWER-P and LPOWER-C both had values of 255. In the instructions it said that if those values exceded 221, that laser scanner unit needs to be refited. I did that and after performing another force execution of potential control, values dropped ( LPOWER-P: 57, LPOWER-C: 48)
After all of that, the image was the same, so I shoul have changed the developing unit, but unfortunatelly I don't have it. I don't think that there is a problem with developing unit, because there is an even coating of toner on it,and when the potential sensor is turned off, the image is very dark, and the whole background is dark.

    Re: Ir5570 light copy

Yesterday I've changed the PO sensor, and PO sensor board, but that gave no result. Today i have changed laser scanner unit, but that didn't help as wellk. I've changed those three things first because I had it in stock, I didn't have to order it. Now i am waiting for the HV cable, and HV board. Hopefuly, that would help. If anybody has some kind of advice, I'll be very gratefull.

    Hi Lazo7
1, what is the reading on vdt / vdm and vlt / vlm
2, also there is a toner save setting in either level1 or 2 service mode, copier/option/body or user and it is called cotc-d I think, it should be set to 0
