Good place to look first, would be the fuser section.
Make sure that its heating up. Check out the unit itself.
If its not heating up, check its connector, the female, and the male connector that's
located in the inside rear part of the machine for jammed up paper.
It could be shorting out the connection.

To add on SCREWTAPES great reply post,

Improper actuation of SW7= can cause a 'suspend' message on the Control Panel. Switch SW7 actuates when the Fixing Feeder Drawer Handle engages. Check I/O address P-CON P005 Bit 11.When the Drawer engages properly, Bit 11 is 0, otherwise it is 1. Bit 11 should change states as the Drawer is engaged and disengaged. If Bit 11 does not change from a '1' state, check SW7 located at the Fixing Feeder Engagement Handle.

Switch SW7 connects to the DC Controller at J106 A1 (ground/return) & A12 (12Vdc). When SW7 actuates, there should be continuity between J106 A1 & A12. If 12Vdc is not present at J106 A12, check the continuity of fuse FU18 on the dc controller. If FU18 is blown, check for a short in the wiring from the DC Controller to SW7. If FU18 is blown, replace the DC Controller after repairing the shorted wire for SW7.

from and old Tech Pubs in -2006/ may apply to you read thru below>>>

A Known Case _, it was found that the Front Door Switch was losing 24 volts on one of its leads. The front Door Switch, (SW2) should have 24 volts going to both leads with the door closed. As a result, the 'Copy Suspend Message' would appear during a copy run. Replacing the Rush Current PCB resolved the issue. The Rush Current PCB supplies voltage to the Door Switch, (SW2). The part number for the Rush Current PCB is FG6-4978-030

or> unless you were working on or replacing Punch Controller
The imageRUNNER will go into 'Suspend Mode' with Finisher T1 / T2 and Punch unit M1 Attached.

The imageRUNNER will go into 'Suspend Mode' with Finisher T1 / T2 and Punch Unit M1 attached. If the Finisher and Punch unit were disconnected from the imageRUNNER, the message will no longer appear.

In this case it was found that the dip switches on the Punch Controller PCB were not all in the off position. Turning all the dip switches to the off position and power cycling the machine resolved the suspend message.
**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**
