    IRC5180 H1 1.1 Upgrade to Version 2.0

So, on the advice of some great technicians on this forum, I decided to get the Canon upgrade disk for the ImagePass H1 1.1 to v2.0. Unfortunately, this did not come with any instructions whatsoever. Is there anything I need to know before installing this and possibly screwing it up? The files that are on the CD are.....

    autorun.inf
    disk.inf
PACKAGES FOLDER -> System2.EFI inside the folder
    Fiery Linux.ico

No readme, no nothing. Do I run this on a separate PC? Do I need a crossover cable to update this? Can someone walk me through this? Will the Batmobile ever catch a flat? How many feathers on a Purdue chicken?

    Thanks guys

If I remember correctly just place the disk into a computer and it will spin up and provide instructions on screen.

Skynet is correct that you will get instructions on the screen. You just need a regular RJ45 cable and a small flat blade screwdriver to flip the dipswitches. I have found that upgrading with the USB tool much easier, but the DVD's work as well. The USB tool is posted on the canon support website if you need it.

Will it show me where the dipswitches are as well, or do I need to reference the SM for that?

Okay, now I REALLY need help......

My CD doesn't auto run. The part number on it is FK2-2262-000

    It says system software 2/2.

    Is there a 1/2 that I'm missing?

    There are 4CD's for H1 v2.0 / look on CD you will see 1/4 - 2/4- 3/4- 4/4

    Copy files to USB

Power off-the 5180 print engine using its AC power switch.
Attach the prepared USB flash drive to a USB Type A connector on the Unit-H1.

NOTE: DO NOT move the service switches to the service position. Leave the switches in
the position for normal operation (down).

Power on the print engine using its AC power switch.

Wait several minutes while the files are transferred (usually between 6 and 20 minutes,
depending on the size of the system software).
The flash drive LED shows sporadic activity. The DIAG LEDs show random 2-digit
hexadecimal numbers, including the digits 00 and FF.
When done, the flash drive LED goes off and stays off; the DIAG LEDs show FF and
    stay at FF.

Power off the print engine using its AC power switch.
Before you power off the print engine, wait a full 30 seconds to make sure that the flash
drive LED stays off and that the DIAG LEDs stay at FF.

After the DIAG LEDs go out, wait at least 30 seconds and then remove the USB flash
    drive from the Unit-H1.

Power on the print engine using the AC power switch and allow the system to boot.
Wait approximately 5 minutes for the Printer tab on the main copier screen to become
    active.
-Touch the Printer tab on the main copier screen and then touch the Printer Status/
    Settings key.
-Immediately select a language when the Language Selection screen appears.
If the Language Selection screen disappears before you make a selection, you may need to
recycle power on the print engine or, to change languages, repeat this entire procedure.
-If the Select Market Region screen is displayed, select the name of the region for the
    Unit-H1, and then select OK.
This screen is displayed only if English was selected from the language selection screen.
-At the keypad screen, enter the Administrator’s case-sensitive password: Fiery.1
-At the Setup screen, reenter the customer’s settings from the Configuration page that
    you printed earlier.

Enter settings for Server, Network, and Printer Setup, in that order. Ignore the settings
not included on the Configuration page if it is more appropriate for the site
administrator to set them. For more information, see Configuration and Setup, on the
    User Documentation CD.
-After all setup options are configured, select Exit Setup from the Setup screen, and then
    press OK.
The Unit-H1 reboots with the updated system software and setup options.
-Allow the Unit-H1 to reach Idle.

He has version 1.0 not 2.0.
The version 2.0 part numbers are:
    FK2-4435-000
    FK2-4436-000
    FK2-4437-000
    FK2-4438-000

The part number for disk 4 is actually not quite in sequence with the first 3.

Kindly check out yon screenshot from the tech pub:

Notice that it's 4468; not the expected 4438.
