After u delete imageRUNNER 2270/4570/3570/2870 Firmware in SST PROGRAM /
**Make sure u dump entire imageRUNNER 2270/4570/3570/2870 folder in > Canon File Folder\SST System Software Folder\SST Files to completely remove traces of it/ then reload 4570 back in SST.

SST Error 240 is listed in SST ERROR Manual as= Error Response: Process has ended in error
    /
Error when Flashing Data other then FDIMMs

OK, another dumb question - I uninstalled SST and manually removed all the files for it, as well as system software, and re downloaded everything. Do I still need to put the System Software files in the NewROM folder, or if I browse to the Canon File Folder > SST System Software Folder > SST Files > iR2270_v40.03 will it work OK?

After uninstalling/reinstalling, I keep getting these errors about the system software files on the left menu when I'm trying to upload them. Yet another dumb question - does SST work with Windows 7???

When u re-downloaded the Firmware it should have gone into NEW Rom folder/ then u open SST AND REGISTER it back in from that folder

Go highlight DELETE FIRMWARE / on left side select anything under 2270/4570/3570/2870/& Higlight>delete>confirm with OK on right side.

U Need to then REGISTER from New Rom folder back in SST

    Lightbulb Helpful information...

You do not have to put the software to be loaded into any folder at the root of the C: drive. It can be installed from any location, even thumb drives and external hard drives.

Click, Register Firmware, and from the drop down menu system on the right side of the app, simply navigate to where the software to be loaded is residing, Click on the folder and "Search" the folder. Register the software and you are good to go.

I maintain all our versions of software on an external USB drive, and this is how we access the software for loading on the laptops...

to add on> he still needs to remove invalid listings- +

It is also a good practice to keep a copy of Firmware in C/ drive root in case u loose UBS stick/ not all laps see all sticks

Hmmm...well, I've been registering the system software through the SST, so I'm really starting to wonder if Windows-7 may not work correctly with SST???

I'll have to dig up an XP laptop to try it with.

    Are u using Windows 7 32 or 64 ??
if 64 you may have to enable compatibility mode for SST to work.
