    iRC3200 Diagonal Stripes 12mm apart

I was called in to customers site to correct image registration issue on iRC3200. Pulled Transfer Belt out and cleaned all rollers and belt and replaced into unit. Registration was fixed, but out is getting a diagonal stripes about 12mm apart. Adjusted the SLV to 2 per manual, but still getting stripes. Anyone able to assist on this one? Could use some help. Thxs..

Yes, post a sample test print. Generate test print 5 at about 125 for each separate color. It could be the feedscrew assembly for the itb cleaner assembly if the bands are diagonal. Did you have the diagonal stripes before you took the itb assembly apart?

No, not the stripes/lines were diagonal. The black and Magenta seem fine when I print test type 5 , the striping is in the Cyan and Yellow colors only. Also seems lighter toward rear. (See samples attached) Thanks, Victor285

The laser exposure system is controlled mainly by the DC controller PCB.
Looks like a LASER ISSUE to Me , but check below>>

    • displacement of laser path caused by replacement of laser unit
→ displacement/angle in main scanning direction

    Angle in main scanning
    direction
corrects the laser path inside the
    laser unit.

If the machine detects any angle, it turns on the main scanning direction angle correction
motor located inside the laser unit.

1.have u tried swapping the Laser Units/ simple procedure

2.also check the HVT's for those effected colors

3.did u try and replace/check the Cyan and Yellow Drums

This looks like bad drum units to me. Unless your HVT is going bad on two different segments at the same time. The cyan and yellow are not tied to each other in anyway on the HVT like some of the older color units might have been.
Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.
