    LBP5000 will not calibrate

Gday all, I had been waiting on a LBP5000 fusing unit for over a month and it finally arrived today. Fitted it to the printer no problems there. However i can not get it to print correctly. Keeps giving "recalibrate" message. I really dont want to replace toner/drums or transfer belt as the costomer says it was all fine when the machine went down. Keep in mind this was over a month ago. I cant see how i may have created this problem just by replacing the fuser.
If anyone has seen anything like this and can get me outta the crap here there will be few beers in it for them.
    Cheers,
    Jonezy.

Having the same problem. I am not getting the recalibrate message but the black is out of calibration. Have recalibrated several times but no change.
Have you solved your problem ?
If so, can you shed some light for me.

Its good to know you got yours sorted. Hopfully I attached this correctly. Attached are some test prints.
Notice the shift in black on the windows icon and the black printed prices should be in the red circle.
    Thanks

It looks as if its shifting to the side, not like a ghosting, moving in the feed direction. Do you have the manual?

I still have this machine here in the workshop. Any luck in remembering what you did to solve your calibration problem ?

It look like a image displacement issue. Give it a cleaning around the ITB, check the drums. You have a manual look for the Displacement Sensors. Check if there soiled.

    Here is some more info.

    1) Lack of calibration Forcibly execute calibration.

    2) Failure in the ITB unit If the ITB does not rotate smoothly.
    Replace the ITB unit.

3)If a cleaning failure (dirt on the ITB) occurred,
    replace the ITB unit.

    4) Wear/cut on the drive gear of the ITB motor
    (Drum motor 3)
Check each drive gear between the ITB drive roller
and the ITB motor (Drum motor 3). If wear/cut is
found on the gear, replace the drive assembly.

    5) Failure in the color displacement/density
    sensor
Open and close the front door several times, and
clean the color displacement/density sensor. If
the failure cannot be removed, replace the color
    displacement/density sensor.

    6) Failure in the laser scanner unit Replace the laser scanner unit.

    7) Failure in the cartridge Replace the cartridge of the color for which color
    displacement occurred.

    Re: LBP5000 will not calibrate

    Please could you help?

I put out ITB, clean the senzors, put it back: it make 3 times calibration O.K., but than the calibration do not want to complete correctly. But the printer is printing very well - without out of registration.
I think I must replace the ITB.

Color displacement/density sensor is at the ITB?
