What tray do you want to output too?

What kind of finisher do you have? Do you have a finisher?

I think you mean additional functions rather then special features.

I have a S-1 stapler.I want to install a external tray on the right hand side to output faxes to. And yes i meant additional functions. I went to the "reference guide" on page 4-39 theres three simple steps but when i get to (common settings ) theres no Tray Designation box. Thanks,John

You must enable Copy Tray J-1 in service mode under COPIER>OPTION>ACC>OUT-TRAY, you must restart the copier before entering the Tray Designation screen under Additional Functions>Common Setting>Tray Designation.

If you enter the tray designation screen before restarting the copier only two of the trays will be available.

    u mean a S1 Finisher ?
The Copy Tray-J1 is only available as an option, when the optional Finisher-S1 or the Inner Tray-D1 is attached.

    Copy Tray-J1
    • Option for the Inner 2 Way Tray-D1 and Finisher-S1
    • Offers a third output destination allowing users to dedicate specific trays
to delivery of faxed, copied or printed output
    • Maximum paper capacity of 150 sheets for Letter-sized output and 75
    sheets for all other sizes

To setup the Copy Tray-J1 as a third copy tray, perform the following in service mode...Service Mode > Copier > Option > ACC > Out Tray 1

In most cases, values in Service Mode can be changed without rebooting the machine, but not in the case of the Out Tray setting. the machine must be rebooted, for the tray to be recognized by the machine.
