Canon IR3300i Top Feeder Not Being Recognized

The "0" is for the feeder. Should I do a service mode check for a reader?

I turned off the device, pulled out the pigtail cord (I understand called the interface cable) and restarted. Copier did not read any errors & initialized normally.

Should I still be looking at fixing the circuit board that the interface cable (pigtail side) is attached to?

ok! no errors /are u able to make copies off glass without error pop up ?

that cable goes from DADF to Reader for communication / u stated u swapped cable ? check if DADF pcb is receiving 24v & 5v while cable is plugged in/ turn off before plugging in

Yes, unit can copy without problem on glass when DADF is unplugged (interface cable).

Can you please clarify where I should read the voltage. The pigtail (interface) cord has 1 side in the DADF circuit board. Should I be reading voltage on that interface cord that plugs (with a connector) into the main unit?

Is what canuck and screwtape say,replace the reader controller,will solve your df absent problem.

I understand the reader controller is the circuit board located in the DADF that the pigtail (interface) cord is connected to on one end & has a harness on the other side to plug into the rear of the copier. Thanks for clarifying which reader controller you're identifying.

NO: Correct the cable.
YES: Replace the DADF controller PCB.

YES- u should read from the two connectors J1 & J2 - Red wire 24v / Brown 5v or 3.3v


Have u tried an RCON CLEAR ??

First do a COPIER>FUNCTION>MISC-P
P-PRINT (prints out settings) for the DCON & RCON
then>
COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR
R-CON
Select <R-CON> to highlight, and press the OK key.
2) Turn off and then on the main power switch
Re-input RCON setting

R-Con setting cleared & unit restarted. Reading printed out as 07.01. How would one reinput that setting. Thanks.

Teckat, can you please clarify which leads should be touched on those connectors. J2 has 2 wires (red & blue I recall) and the J1 has numerous wires. Don't want to short anything using the voltage tester leads.

Yes ,is connected with your main board

The READER PCB is not in the DADF UNIT /
it is in the Reader B1

The ADF DC PCB IS IN DADF H1
