I have switched to Firefox to visit this website, it runs smother for me than IE ever did, especially during the "facelift" the site went thru many moons ago...
Microsoft junk...I run a Linux kernel based operating system 3/4 of the time....no anti-virus,or any of that crap! Browse with Firefox...will totally be migrating from Microscoff in a month or 2
I too have a box running Ubuntu 10.10 beta. But my work PC needs to live in the Microsoft world, where all the software needs to run on a windows platform. Linux can be fun, but it limits what you can do based on application limitations...

I know what you mean...my work laptop lives in the Microsoft world...but things are changing. Ubuntu is a pretty limited distribution(OS)...good for running Backtrack and other goodies. Thats whats so nice about Linux and open source stuff....you can designed the OS to tailor to different needs. But realistically its a Windows world. Have you ever tried Opera as a browser running on Windows? It scoots...running through it right now
Clean up your PC...download Ad-Aware and run a scan...probably got some loggers and other crap in your registry,then clean everything up with WinUtilities or similar. All free stuff
Have not tried it on my PC, but I use it on my phone. It is much better on that, than IE was. The screens are easier to read...
