    for Glass copies>
    COPIER>OPTION>
    SIZE-DET
Use it to turn on/off -the original size detection mechanism.
Settings 0: OFF, 1: ON (default)
Caution -After making the setting, be sure to turn off and then on the main power
    switch.

    COPIER>OPTION>
    OP-SZ-DT
Use it to turn on and off -the original size detection mechanism in book
    mode.

Settings 0: OFF (accepts input of original size from control panel; default)
1: ON (detects original size automatically)

    for ADF>
    COPIER>OPTION>
    SCANSLCT
Use it to turn on/off- the ADF original size detection mechanism.
    • When ON, the scan size is determined according to the detected original
    size.

    I believe this might help.

    Enter service mode:

    Level 2/ Copier/ Option/ Body SENS-CNF = 1

SENS-CNF =0 (default) : AB Type Document Sensor Placement
SENS-CNF =1 : Inch Type Document Sensor Placement

At set up or after clearing ram, the value will return to default (0)

Somebody must have cleared Rcon's ram.

the settings I posted for you are for your situation that u posted for/ u wanted to turn off Auto sensor Reads for Glass copies/ I also included a turnoff for ADF auto read/

u requested an adjustment for "AUTO DETECT TO BE SHUT OFF"

hi, i've canon IR5000 and i want to off the sensor document size, which annoying in function image repeat.

    please help me}

When u turn off Auto Detect / for Glass and u put a document with a size other than those loaded in paper trays =u will be prompted to select the tray to print from.

If Auto Detect is turned off for ADF/ When u put a Document in tray> after pick up and read, if Document is different size than paper loaded/ u will be prompted to choose what size paper to copy on.

This is what SCREWTAPE's post was about

    iR5000/6000
    COPIER>OPTION

    MODEL-SZ
Use it to switch default ratios display and ADF original size detection by
    site.
    Settings 0: AB (6R5E), 1: INCH (5R4E), 2: A (3R3E), 3: AB/INCH (6R5E)

that setting displays paper tray sizes available / if u turn off Auto Detect for Glass or ADF>Read Above messages
