Check the dc pwr supply voltages as per Screwtape . That's the best advice. Not a bad idea to check all the other possibilities as per Teckat's list also-----but always start this type of diagnosis by checking pwr supply outputs first before moving on to other possibilities.

Thats a new one on me also-----------never seen it. Either way this poster never stated that he has the fax option installed. These units rarely have the fax option in my experience. Interesting info though.....

Fax function come as default, not as optional in my region as some rural area may not have broadband coverage and the subscription are cheaper too.
Ahh.....that would explain it----now I see why you went for the fax option as a possibility since it is so common in your region.
