Never heard of IR5065, maybe u mean 5075 instead, fast b/w machine. E001 means overheat of fixing thermistor, most probably the roller is jammed bij folded piece of paper. Other problem could be a worn lower roller bearing preventing the fixing from turning around.

    hello

If after resetting the error and you still get the error code than the fixing film for the IR-5065 will have to be replaced and the error will have to again be reset. The part that is supposed to be getting hot is bad and only that part will need to be replaced.

For the IR-5070, the error code is that the heater is not getting hot. If the error has a 0000 sub code then the thermistors may need to be replaced or the DC Controller. Most likely the heater itself is not bad because thay should last the life of the copier. Try doing an error reset by going into service mode. Additioan function key, 2&8 at the same time and then Additional function key. Slect copier, then function, clear, err. If it goes back into the error the above items may need to be replaced. Good Luck. 0010 sub code is that the copier has been turned off and on without restting the error.

5055,5065,5075....same machine pretty well. There is not a fixing film in this model. It uses induction to heat the upper fuser roll. Replace the thermistor assembly with the newer style if it doesnt already have it. You have to find out what error happened before the E001-010...probably E001-001

Try this first> after re-set> ERROR CLR
    E001-0000/0001/0003
    Copier > Option > CUSTOM > TMP-TBL set to -2
Copier > Option > Image Fixing
FN-ENTMP set to -2 (if problem persists set to -4)
FX-S-TMP set to -2 (ITOP Adjust for plain paper 1)

For Heavy 1, 2, 3, or Thin paper:

Copier > Option > Image Fixing > TMP-TBLxx (Adjust the paper type that is having the issue.)
FN-ENTMP set to -2 (if problem persists set to -4)
FX-S-TMPxx -2 (Adjust ITOP for proper paper type)

    Turn copier OFF / ON

    OR
disassembling / re-assembling the fuser unit and re-installing it into the machine. After re-assembly the temperature never rose above 216 degrees Celsius. OK !!!!!!!!!!
