Need Canon C5180 tech for regular servicing

My client just picked up a (repo?) C5180 and it's going to need regular repair. They'd rather use me because I don't charge nearly as much as the local authorized vendor, but frankly, it's too over my head.

So I need a guy to work on a wholesale basis.

If I have to, I suppose I could tell 'em to find someone else, but I'll try this first.

The equipment is in western Palm Beach County, Florida.

    Thanks!

Basic maintenance, drums, rollers, fixing and ITB are pretty easy actually. Also a service manual with alle error codes is handy.

Just gets harder with nasty errors or high demand on quality output.

I thought the fuser for these were about 1.5k a piece and that you could not order any parts for it. Did that change?

Nope, just get hold of new one FM2-3779-000, install it properly and let till it breaks. New units will last 300K.

Easy fixing unit? LOL - more like highway robbery expensive & impossible to repair yourself fixing unit! Difficult to offer an affordable service agreement to a customer on that model taking in to account you may be on the hook for a fixing assy and have to build that into the price.

They are good machines overall though. Cost on that fuser is my only complaint on that model.

Sorry, I meant that you could not order parts for the fuser and had to order the whole fuser. What was the cost of the fuser for you? I thought that it was $1.5k.
