A lot of things might be causing this problem. But I guess I would start with the ITB belt - might be slipping, you could try cleaning the belt interior and drive rollers. Replacing it with a used belt is not the way to go.

After cleaning those drive rollers (and replacing the cleaning blade while you are in there) test it again. If still blurry you may have a problem with itb drive assy. Problems like this are also sometimes resolved by adjusting the lasers but in your case I'll bet not. Focus your efforts on the ITB unit drive or slipping problems.

This a very common problem on the 3200 model.

Root cause is the slipping of the ITB (transfer belt).

U should start with cleaning inside or replace the belt, also clean de drive roller. That is the thick black rubber roller. Use a good rubber cleaner en clean it thourough.

Sometimes the slipping causes the calibration routine to get stuck. U can reset it with a dc-con clear. Just remember to make p-print first, a put the p-print values back in the cleared dc controller.

If that doesn;t work, u can get out the lasers and put them in home possition manually.

All these tricks can be found in detail in former topics on this board.

    Good luck.

I agree with Fer that a dcon clr might also help. If you use rubber cleaner on that black roller-don't use it on anything else. Do not clean the belt interior with rubber cleaner! Use alcohol or water dampened cloth.

Something else i learned about this copier. One of my guys said me he reset the copier(Factory Settings) and now i am thinking if any value in Service Mode must set to another values.
After i made a Full Adjust the copier printed test page and the colors was perfectly correct, but not in a straight line.Yellow was 3 mm up,black was 2-3 mm down and so two other colors but the block of colors was wanderful.Maybe this helps.

If he did a dc-con clear, he should also put the values of copier, adjust back. Maybe there is a paper in the door compartment with the factory values.

No harm in doing that. Certainly worth a try and those values should always be entered anyway after performing a clear.
My money is still on a problem with the ITB though.
