    Just as a side note, the flatting still continues, even with the latest DC-Con software. It is just part of this beasts personality to flat spot the fusers. If it never slept, and got continuous usage, then you would get life out of the fuser rollers. I do not replace just for the clunking noise, all my remaining 3200 series machines still do this, I just wait till symptoms are obvious in the prints, or jamming issues, and then replace it....

    I agree about that clunking noise/ you have to live with it-

    This printer was made to be used and run in a 8/12 hr business enviorment , at least about 1000 prints a day and not for making 100 prints a day.

    I have heard of issues with them in the past. They have changed owners as well as their technical staff as I understand it. I have not had any problems with them in the past year or so.
