    finisher 6570 and 4570 can work together

    could it be possible if i will attach my finisher S1 of 4570 to My host machine 6570. Can it work with together? how Can i do 'cos my finisher T1 has got a problem.

    No...don't even bother trying. It won't work. The IR 6570 can only use the T1 or T2. Besides that, the S1 is an internal sorter....where would you stick that thing on the 6570?

    I suppose with duct tape and wire you can attach most anything - working is another story. They tell you why it will not work above. With a malfunctioning T1 - just put it into limited functions and at least they can make copies. If for some reason limited functions is not available - turn off both units, disconnect the finisher and connector, place a box/table at the output, and turn the main unit back on. It will know it does not have a finisher and will just "kick" the copies out.

    Maybe it is because I lived in a number of foreign countries but I thought what he was asking was straight forward. It may challenge the notion of not such thing as a stupid question, but I understood what he was wanting to do, why, and how to do it. Then again, I am not all that bright myself so maybe I speak his language.
