Yes, give us details. Talk to the machine operator or owner, they can tell u who last touched it etc, was someone trying it repair and failed? Did u notice any sign of pests e.g cockroaches or rodents having inhabited the machine? A wire simply just doesn't get cut by itself. there must have been stress acting up on it.

If u can prove that it was really " THEM ", then u can skillfully trace and re-connect that cut wire, do a couple of checks here and there, and restore the machine to operation. Wish you luck.
