    IRC-5185, heavy stock hitting fuser?

    Hi folks

I got a problem with one of our irc-5185.
Please see the attached PDF file, I go a stange "smeared" line vertical nearest the trailing edge of the sheet, it is like the sheet hits somthing before geting fused, but i am not able to determine what? It does not happen on thinner stock, but with 160gms and above.
And while you are looking at my PDF what is the faded horisontal line (cyan drum is brand new)

    best regards
    Morten

Try adjusting fixing speed (FX-SPD2) u could also disable arching control (FX-LP-SW2)

    U can find those in Lvl2 copier > Option > Body >

The thin white line could be something in the Laser Path, maybe Dust.

I assume, that you are feeding SEF, if so, one can see, that the print is inclined. Looks for me, if the feed assy and the fusing assy are not parallel to each other.

    Hi Mutti

Print a PG-10 test to check drums. Also you can open right cover and check
the transfer belt when machine printing.Maybe you have an issue before fixing.
The third option is laser issue.

    Try and report.

    good luck

are you just getting the line line one color or in all colors?

On the line on the heavy stock it could drum drive, fuser drive, fuser assembly if adjusting the timing didnt help.
Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.
