I know that SST v4.32 is the latest.
Did any SST verision (installed with Windows Vista) could flash IR5000S.
Or should I use Windows XP only?
Thanks

As per the new v4 Service Support Tool Manual, Windows Vista 32 bit is now supported with Service Support Tool v4.04 or higher-to v4.33Ez
Some technicians were able to get it working on Windows Vista PCs by using the following workaround. This is not officially supported by Canon.
1. Go to the C:/Program Files > Service Support Tool > Warehouse.
2. Copy the two files BPCHOST.INI and FIRMDESC.TXT into the Service Support Tool folder. Now you should be able to launch SST and use to flash on Vista.

Please note TECKAT:
That means I'll overwrite these two files (BPCHOST.INI and FIRMDESC.TXT) that already in the same folder (Service Support Tool).
Is that right?
I have SST v432Ey.
It is now possible to flash imageRUNNER products requiring a parallel port connection with Windows Vista using service support tool v4.22E and the USB to Parallel cable, FY9-4368-000
imageRUNNER 2200 / 2220N / 2220i / 2800 / 3300 / 3300i / 3320N / 3320i / 5000 / 5000i / 5020 / 5020i / 6000 / 6020 / 6020i / 7200 / 8500 / 85 / 105 installing Nethawk Cable Drivers
When installing the Nethawk cable it may not be recognized by the operating system in Device Manager.
Open Windows Device Manager and check to see if a line for Nethawk Device appears in the Device Manager window.
If it does not appear in the Device Manager screen, expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers line by clicking on the + and check to see if plugging the cable into another usb port will help Windows sense the cable. If it does sense it you will see a line with "USB Printing Support" on it.
Right click on the "USB Printing Support" line and choose "Update Driver".
In the next screen choose "No, not this time" and click on "Next".
In the next screen choose "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)" and click on "Next".
In the next screen choose "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install." and click on "Next".
Click on the HAVE DISK button below.
Click on the BROWSE Buttton below.
The driver will normally reside in the C:\ProgramFiles\ServiceSupportTool\inf\USBPAdp folder. Browse down through the folders until you see the driver name (usbhwk.inf) then click on the OPEN button.
Click the OK button below.
In the next screen choose "NetHawk USB-10 Cable" below and click on "Next".
Driver installation should begin.
In the next screen click "Finish"
The NetHawk device should now appear on its own line in the Device Manager screen.
