    Canon ir3100 -

    Hi guys,

I´ve got a problem with this Machine. You can see it on the pictures I loaded up. Ther is a blurred line on the Paper.

Drum is new, so does anybody have an idea what else can cause this?

Probably the fuser assembly has flat spots on it casuing the issue. Like skynet said you should hear a noise coming from the right hand door if this is the case. Running a sample on 11x17 sheet should give you a better a view if the line is occuring multiple times across the page.

Print a PG-10 test and you can exactly figure out what is wrong.Use A3 or larger paper.

cleaner issues go across the page not op to non-op like the line on the sample and would not give a blurred image.

Seems like attached or old toner on the transfer belt.

that line is typical of a fuser with flat spots on this wonderful unit. Canon has taken several good years off my life with this model.
