If black toner is still left in the machine, you can continue to print and copy in black and white. However, if the print or copy job is interrupted because cyan, yellow or magenta runs out, printing and copying is only possible in black and white for functions other than those being used for the interrupted job. If toner runs out during a job, printing of that job will resume after replacing the toner cartridge.
