I disagree. Color displacement is usually caused by the ITB assembly slipping. This is usually caused by worn drive gears, the drive roller being dirty causing the belt to slip on it or too much pressure from the cleaning blade on the ITB belt.

    Not True-
I have worked on hundreds of these models ,
can't remember a drum causing registration displacement

    , see PDF.

Dealers should not be in the service mode- Level 1 or Level 2

We have has Customers try and break contracts, because Service techs introduced them to the service mode, and they caused issues and down time.

Registration issues require a procedure to follow, especially on these Color Models

The majority of registration issues on these models is Mechanical & PM

In a sense, he is correct. The old drums spew out too much extraneous toner, getting inside the ITB, and causing the slippage to take place. When rebuilding an ITB, don't leave really old drums in the copier, or you will soon be cleaning the assembly once again...

true the drum units can cause the displacement, but they have never solved a problem with displacement.

True that! They can create, but not solve the issue...

if the drums are over 200% of its drum life the sensor cant read the alignment of colors specially when you turn on the machine. the older the drum unit the color density comes lighter then it turns to mis judgement of the sensor.it really affects the auto color adjustment. i expience it on some of this machine.

    clear dc con

clear dc con will not solve the colour problems, should check for the ITB and drums for its life and displacements of belt and rollers inside it, cleaning first.
but most cases will be old drums
