    reg clear?

I am unclear on what you are asking, what is a reg clear? Are you referring to a DC-Con clear to try to fix a color registration issue?

if you are refering to clear all data setting that the 4080 has the answer is no. That option was not avaiable on the 3200/3220 series machines.

hi its for blurred copies on IRC3200/3220,on a 4080 you can go into service mode 2 clear-reg clear which resets the lasers,i just thought i saw it on here but not sure because ive hever seen it on 3200 but it would be very handy to now.thankyou.

for blurred copies it could be the lasers, but reseting them by hand is always best.

    for the 5180 series>
there is a tilt correction in Level 2- COPIER>FUNCTION>LASER LD-ADJ-Y/M/C for
    horizontal scanning direction only

best bet is to stay out of Level 2

    for blurred images> follow a procedure>

There was a new function added to 4080 service mode , which lets you clear the registration data only, without clearing the whole DC-CON.
It takes a couple of tries sometimes.
It does not aply to 3200

why would u clear Reg Data, and not follow a procedure.

    Clear/ is a typical Canon Band-aid approach

on irc 3200 color displacement are usually caused by an old drum unit. try to see if your drums are still good. or else color displacement will come back over again.
