There are two ways to expand the RX functions depending on the imageRUNNER model:
* If the imageRUNNER has a FAX based Service Mode: Enter Service mode>Special>Special SW><SW27 bit 7 to 1>
* On Standard imageRUNNER Service modes: Enter Service mode>FAX>NCU>SpecialB><SW27 bit 7 to 1>
Once SW 27 bit 7 is set to 1, power cycle the imageRUNNER, select Additional Functions > Communication Setting > Fax Settings > RX Settings. All expanded RX functions will now be displayed.
or try this-For the imageRunner C3200 series that doesn't have a user-defined ring count setting, >
incoming ring count can be set by editing the Fax Service Mode accordingly:
1. Enter the general Service Mode, then Fax Service Mode, as required.
2. Select NCU (or #4B NCU).
3. Select 8. Auto RX.
4. Highlight or choose 007. The default setting will be 02.
5. Change the value as required.
Note: Setting the ring count to 4 or more rings may cause the transmitting device to time-out, if the connection time exceeds 30 - 35 seconds (T1 timer).
Note: The Auto/Manual RX setting is not listed under Additional Functions > Communication Setting > Fax Settings > RX Settings. These buttons are found under System Monitor > Fax > Received Job Status. Additionally, the Auto/Manual setting will not be available on the "two line" control panel displays (imageRUNNER 2016 / 2018 / 2020 / 2022). To change these models for "Manual RX", change the ring wait time. NCU > Auto RX > 006 = 2500 will change the incoming ring count to about 5.Last edited by teckat; 01-21-2011, 10:56 PM.**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.** -

Thanks for the great post! This system is using a shared line, and the customer wanted it to wait 3 rings. Issue resolved.Comment
