If you are an END USER, Ok !
go ahead and break off tabs as instructed.
& remind them that if something goes wrong> Don't call me or u will be charged.

If you are a service tech and u service customers on a per hr.basis /per call out that have no contracts =
u just cost yourself & or your company MONEY.
1.Less/& no call outs= no MONEY

    don't know about u , but I like Money

End Users -need to be End Users, if they want to be techs> go to school
Techs need to be Techs> keep your mouth shut/& service the product to the best of your ability.
I don't pay Techs to teach customers the entire Printing & Repair Process

Are you insane ? These arn't Ricoh's ! There's no butt fudging the black dev units for colours.

If the customer wants to destroy the copier then I'm with Teckcat. By all means call me. I'll come and fix your mistake... at your expense.

A question was posed, and answered. The debate has gone from does it work, to it will cause problems with the machine. We have been doing this for nearly a year on 2 relatively high volume units with no issues. I'll pose a simple question...what are the structural differences between the drum units? Starter has no specific pigment, the drums are the same, coronas and wipers the same, so aside from the primer of color toner each unit has, how does starving the unit of black while replacing with a specific color within 30-50 sheets affect the machine? Now im very curious....

    Everyone needs to remember>
STARTER/DEVELOPER composition used in the Old Color CLC's
is a different animal then the developer used in the Color imageRunners

Canon Cartridge Drums use a tiny amt. of starter,
it's all about the almighty dollar to CANON

Service is a Loss write off for all Companies
Consumables/Contracts/Leases/Clicks/Parts = that is where u make the Money
