When I make prints or copies, the machine makes copies with uneven density. I change the developer unit, and makes the copies with good quality, but at few copies, the machine makes pale copies again

i use katun toner. but in other machines with more copies, i don't have this problem
transfer roller is new
Check the Bias Contacts on the ITB and on the frame of the imageRUNNER C1022.Check that the connection is correct.
Could easily be a poor connection with the Katun units, but make sure that the machine side is in the correct spot.

As I can see in the picture, your developer cylinder striped.
As I were you, I would clean the blade and the cylinder till the stripes disappears.
If you can't, change them.
We used Katun toner with orange front, it was terrible, we had a lot of reclamation, then we changed to other manufacturer.
I must say the Original toner is the best.
If you change the type of the toner you have to fully clean the developer unit.
This is a pic of other machine.
I change developer unit, and makes the copys pale.
the client don`t have other type of toner, only katun. but he have more machine with more copies, and this machines makes copys well
Make force Stop coping and check image on the drum.
