    iR5570 cassette wont setup!

    Hi all,

I have an Canon iR5570 it wont recognise paper or size in tray 4. I have changed the VR pcb, paper size sensors, swapped the trays and swapped feed units 3 & 4. When i go to setup all I get is S_TMR= 255 and A4R=255. The display will sometimes show U3 after I try and setup the tray. Any idea's or am i missing something.

In service mode go to Copier > Function > CST and perform the adjustment for C3 - STMTR and C3 - A4R , C4 - STMTR and C4 - A4R. The values should be close to the values on the door label. If they are not close ( within 10 of the door label specs ) replace the cassette VR assembly (part number: FG5-1957-000) for the cassette that the reading is off and perform the adjustment again.
If the readings are ok, go into Level 2 service mode and go to Copier > Display > CST - STS and check to see if the Width - C3 or C4 show the correct paper size for the cassette (if you set the cassette for letter size paper, the display should show " LTR"). If it doesn't, replace the cassette paper sensor assembly (part number: FM2-4211-000)

After replacing the Sensor PCB, perform the Copier>Function> CST adjustment. Make sure you cycle the power switch to store the new adjustment. Also make sure the Copier> Option > Body>model SZ2 is set correctly and Copier>Option>User >Size Det. is set.
After replacing the Cassette Paper Sensor Assembly, perform FUNCTION>CST>C3/4-STMTR, AND C3/4-A4R.
Do for both trays= power off/on the printer

    Use for both Cassette 3/4

    COPIER > FUNCTION > CST > C3-STMTR/A4R
Use it to register the paper width basic value of the
    cassette 3.
    1) Put STMTR/A4R paper in the cassette3, and
adjust the slide guide plate to the width.
    2) Select C3-STMTR/A4R to highlight, and press
the OK key so that the machine executes auto
    adjustment and register the value.
    Cassette 4
    COPIER > FUNCTION > CST > C4-STMTR/A4R

    Use set up above

The CPU on the DC controller PCB identifies the size of paper used based on paper width and paper length. The result of identification is communicated to the controller unit.

select correct number for size in cassette u need

    SERVICE MODE:

    COPIER> OPTION> CST> CST-U1
    31: G-LTR *, 22: K LGL
    COPIER> OPTION> CST> CST-U2
    24: FLSC *, 26: OFI, 27: E-OFI, 36: A-OFI, 37: M-OFI
    COPIER> OPTION> CST> CST-U3
    34: G-LGL *, 35: FOLI, 25: A-FLS
    COPIER> OPTION> CST> CST-U4
    18: LTR *, 29: A-LTR
    *: factory setting
    COPIER> ADJUST> CST-ADJ> C3-STMTR
Use it to change the paper width basic value for STMTR in cassette 3.
    COPIER> ADJUST> CST-ADJ> C3-A4R
Use it to change the paper width basic value A4R in cassette 3.
    COPIER> ADJUST> CST-ADJ> C4-STMTR
Use it to change the paper width basic value for STMTR in cassette 4.
    COPIER> ADJUST> CST-ADJ> C4-A4R
Use it to change the paper width basic value for A4 in cassette 4.
