Is there an original on the glass??! Try doing CCD adjust in service mode followed by Auto gradation under additional functions key. that should solve your problem.

Do you have a sub code? you will probably need to replace dev start(s) depending what sub code is & set it up

When the machine errors the sub code should follow the E020 "****", if not you can find it in service mode, without it youdo not know which colour needs attention

    * 2 8 *(additional functions star & press 2 & 8 together) will get you into service mode - look under display for error history

    Reinit color in Question

Try cleaning black toner monitor first (1 screw to slide out just below drum) If you dont have any developer mix you could do a stir and that may get you going. Or you could reinitialize that color to fool machine

You can adjust document recognition sensitivity in service mode(I think its called doc rec) Move the number a couple of points at a time (you don't want it to recognize dust)
