How much it has in its meters? We have quite a lot of these models on field, and they seem to work really well. Few of them have over 500k in meter, but still up and running with original fixing unit.
I'd go for it.

Well, it's illegal to reset the total counters. I suggest not to buy or rent anything from company which does so.
But about the iRC3380. It doesn't need as much service as the 3220. Usually the service calls are related to drums, feeder or cassette rollers etc. Not anything bad. But if you don't know the total meter count of the machine, I suggest not to take it. There's pretty much of these devices at field. So I'm sure that you'll find a company which doesn't scam it's customers, and which has these models for sale.
Btw: iRC3380 is exactly same machine as 2380, 2880, 3080, and 3580. The operating speed makes the difference. So those are just as good models as 3380. (I mention this since someone might offer those models for you)

We have several 2880/3380/3480 models in the field and agree that they seem to be good machines for business color. Please keep the hate mail - but I like color of the Sharp MX-3100 better, ours have a very low repair rate, and may cost a bit less. I also DOUBLE 2nd his suggestion of not buying from someone that may change the meters. People like that would think nothing of selling you a "hot" machine, puting a 3380 cover on a 2880, or cleaning up a unit that has been under water and selling it as "refurb".
very good machines for office use.
Clean - quiet - nice.
3 pieces of iRC-3580i with more than 400k
yep - 2 of them
the 101 Total meter can not be changed/
there are jerks out there who attempt to do this/ some succeed by reconfiguring the board
truth be told is , if u need verification on any model Canon u purchase,
if u call CANON they can tell u how to check a location in the printer that has the serial number imprinted in it -that links it to the model type
