    IR2270 control panel lamp

I am looking for a part number for the long tube-like lamp in the control panel on IR2270. Thanks.

Can I get your opinion....I have a customer that didnt have their IR2270 on a surge protector and after a weekend of bad storms they come in and the control panel is black. When the tech turned on the copier, the finisher moves and it sounds like it goes to ready, green power light on control panel is on but black screen. Nothing happens when you push start button and if you open the door no beeps indicating open door. I don't have a control panel to swap out and hate to order if I don't have to. Any ideas?

My opinion? I can't shot 100% wright. You need to investigate.I will start with sdram (DIMM, MT8LSDT3264AY-133, SDRAM)

When you turn on the machine and there is no power up sequence, no LCD display, and the control panel Green LED is on.
The All-Night Power Supply protection circuit may be shutting off power to all loads. The RMT1 and RMT2 signals are used to trigger the protection circuit and disable the power supplies.
The RMT1 signal can be verified by using the following procedure:
You must make these checks in this order for the stated conclusions to be accurate.
    Checking RMT1 Protection Circuit Signal

    1) Power On the machine and visually check the Green LED (LED1006) on the Main Controller PCB. If LED1006 is Lit, the failure is NOT in the RMT1 Protection Circuit. If LED1006 goes On then Off, go to the next check.

    Main.jpg
    2) Check the Main Controller PCB connector J1020 pin 5 to GND and pin 6 to GND. (To test DC voltage you can use the metal chassis of the machine as your GND connection.) If 3VDC is measured at connector J1020 on either pin 5 or 6, the failure is not in the RMT1 Protection Circuit. If you do NOT measure 3VDC at connector J1020, go to the next check.

    3)
Check the Controller Power Supply PCB connector J216 pin 9 to GND and pin 10 to GND. If 3VDC is measured at connector J216, the failure is in the wiring between J216 and J1020. If you do NOT measure 3VDC at connector J216, go to the next check.

    4) Set your meter to read AC Voltage. Check the Printer Power Supply connector J1301 pin 1 to pin 3 for 115VAC. If 115VAC is measured at connector J1301, the failure is not in the RMT1 Protection Circuit. If you do NOT measure 115VAC at connector J1301, go to the next check.
J1301 on the General Circuit Diagram is J301 on the Printer Power Supply PCB
    AC.jpg
    5) Check the AC Driver PCB Connection WH102 (Hard wired) across the White wire to the Black wire for 115VAC. If 115VAC is measured at connector
WH102, the failure is not in the RMT1 Protection Circuit and you should confirm the wiring between WH102 and J1301. If you do NOT measure 115VAC at connection WH102, go to the next check.

Note 5: The Green LED on the Control Panel is lit as part of our symptom. Therefore, there must be 115VAC on the AC Driver PCB.

    6) Set your meter to read DC Voltage. Check the AC Driver PCB connector J209 pin 3 to GND. If 3VDC is measured at connector J209, the failure is not in the RMT1 Protection Circuit and you should replace the AC Driver PCB. If you do NOT measure 3VDC at connector J209, go to the next check.

Note 6: Measuring 3VDC at connector J209 confirms 115VAC is being supplied
to the All Night Power Supply. Losing the 115VAC input to the All Night Power Supply will cause the 3VDC RMT1 signal at J209 to be zero.
    All.jpg
    7) Check the All-Night Power Supply PCB connector J692 pin 1 to GND. If 3VDC is measured at connector J692, the failure is in the wiring between J692 and J209. If you do NOT measure 3VDC at connector J692, go to the next check.
    8)
Check the All-Night Power Supply PCB connector J693 pin 1 to GND. If 3VDC is measured at connector J693, check the All Night Power Supply 115VAC input at connector J681.

Note 8: Any loss in 115VAC to the All Night Power Supply will generate the RMT1 Protection Circuit condition. You will need to confirm whether the AC Driver PCB (Hard connection at WH101) is failing to provide the 115VAC or the wiring to J681 on the All Night Power Supply is broken.

If 115VAC is measured at J681, AND the 3VDC is at J693, replace the All Night Power Supply PCB. If you do NOT measure 3VDC at connector J693, go to the next check.

    9) Check the Main Controller PCB connector J1021 pin 3 to GND. If 3VDC is measured at connector J692, the failure is in the wiring between J693 and J1021. If you do NOT measure 3VDC at connector J1021, replace the Main Controller PCB.

There IS a power up sequence (finisher moves, feeder sounds, exposure lamp comes on) but no display and green power light is on. The instructions above reference No power up sequence... not sure if that matters. The technician went out and did the above checks, the LED on the main controller never comes on at all......would you think we need to repl it or are there different steps when there is a power up sequence.

We have had a few now that "No display, green power light, and warm-up sequence" turned out to be a bad Main controller PCB.
I can't say if there was any storm involved with the bad ones we had, but just something to check.

If this was storm damage from not having a surge protector, then you can bill them for parts and labor and have their insurance pay for it.

Do you by any chance have the part # for the main controller? Is it FM2-2767?
