    Question ir5055n (00094)

    Hi,
I am having a problem with IR5055n feeder (dadf s1). it does not work at all every time i put a docment in it to make a copy a jam alarm appears on the screen and it can not be recovered till i turn the machine off.jam code (00094) with no display of the sensor no. or the type of jam. I cleaned all the sensors and i executed sensor initialization in the service mode but no use of it . please help?

i've had similar issue on 5055 and 5185.on both m/c's i ended up dis and reconnecting the reader controller in the optics.i don't know if this will work for you but it's worth a shot..

    DADF-M1
    DADF-S1 0094 Jam Code
The document feeder is generating a 0094 jam code that will not clear until the machine is power cycled. A 0094 jam code can be generated by any paper path sensor in the document feeder.

Returning the prism for PI7(DADF M1) / PCB2(DADF S1) to its proper position, resolved this issue.

See photo below for location of sensor prism.

Check if the Document Feeder is sitting correctly on the platen
Check the the left hinge position-

    from old pub>>

machine displays a 0094 jam code when the DADF is used. At the start of operation the presence of an original has been detected by a sensor in the paper path. The sensors that generate the code are PCB2 the Post separation sensor pcb, PCB3 the Read sensor, PCB4 the Delivery/reversing sensor pcb.

Check the state of the DADF-S1 optical sensors (PCB 2 - Post Separation, PCB 3 - Read and PCB 4 - Delivery/Reversal) in service mode level 1 > Copier > I/O > Feeder, state of PCB's will indicated if paper is present-
    I/O address for PCB4 is P006 - bit 1 ; a 1 indicates that paper is present.

    I/O address for PCB 2 is P004 - bit 4; a 1 indicates that paper is present.

    I/O address for PCB 3 is P006 - bit 4; a 1 indicates that paper is present.

    Solution :
tech had to replace both PCB2 and PCB4. All three sensors have the same part number FM2-1022-000.

Thank you for the information but i`d like to inform you with the following data which i noticed in the service mode.service mode level 1>feeder >display>SPSN LMN (0 or 254) and SPSN RCV 54 and the same for RDSN and DRSN do you have an explaination?

forget about that crap- go in and check the I/O address info above
