on the rigth of the duplex unit, you can find a foam roller, maybe it was your problem, you need to move slowly and you feel like a brake, looking for that, replace it

Sounds like a good candidate, that roller, can also be flat spotted, like the two larger ones in the vertical path on the right side of the copier, caused more by age than anything else...

    Hi guys,

The same machine, same problem. It happened again after a long period of use.

I tried Testprint PG1, and I noticed that after a few copies of a single side, there are some delays in printing. Means improved margins on some printed paper. [X margin].

I switch around a unit with other machines, and this problem still exists.

So my opinion, the unit 1 is still in good condition.

I think it is related to the vertical path. The problem is, I do not know where to start.

    Any help guys?

    Regards
    Mezerwi

0109, which is a delay jam at the pre-registration sensor

    post the jam codes again

    paper type ?
    paper sizes jamming ?
tray locations> one or all ?
    one-sided/two-sided ?

Make sure the foam roller in the vertical path is engaging and disengaging when you open the upper door, just had one with similar symptoms and it turned out to be one of the springs that applies pressure on the foam roller had popped off, worth a shot.

So, why can't you swap the unit 2 as well if you have got the facility?

Or else, check these items from the parts catalogue:
CL16; CL17 and roller no. 46 of the duplexing unit

Problem solved for the some delay on fotocopy.

Its turn out that worm gear on M3 was worn out. So I replaced the whole motor with new one and problem solved.
May I know if the gear itself can be replace without replacing the whole motor unit?
