Correct - try reformat &reload software or replace & reload software

It is a hard drive problem.there are checks you can do but you are better off to just replace the hdd format and reload the system.if you get the hdd off you can google the manufacturer number and find a replacement for cheaper than getting it thru canon

yes that's a HDD error. If you cant get by with a reformat and Firmware update, you can sometimes stick the Drive in an external USB drive and reformat it all. If it doesn't work after as a copier drive it can still be useful for other storage purposes. Failing that there are local drivers for a range of Notebook HDD that you can use, though the range is pretty specific, you have to open up the local drive IFT file in wordpad to see if the drive you have is listed. Those drives are a damn site cheaper than the Genuine Canon item.

I am sure this is done already but just replace the hard drive, use a good one or it will fail again. Toshiba is the original but had them fail.

I went through three hard drives on one machine in a year.

I purchased a Canon hard drive for a iR2800. It was mfg by Toshiba. The drive came with a CD-Rom with firmware for a iR2200 and the flash utility to install it. Is the firmware for the iR2200 and the iR2800 the same? If not, where can I get the firmware for the iR2800?

E602-003，this code means Canon’s hard disksystem have some problems，the only solve way is change the hard disk。The hard sisk form our company just need connect to the printer then can use，without any unconventionality，till now our hard disk we selt to everywhere in China not found any trouble . if client’s machine already have print function,only need add our company’s print system then can get back the print function.(this print system need add RMB100）。If client’s machine don’t have print function,only need prepear the ROM card and network card from our company then can have the print function.(the ROM card and network card need add RMB600)。
